“It is omnipresent and omniscient,” as well as “the eye of justice sees everything”. Right? It is more or less the same, although the second quote is of ancient Greek origin, like many others, but for simplicity’s sake, let’s stick to quotes originating on Earth.
Though omnipresent on Earth, it remains unseen. Many believe it listens, but it never responds; even those who think they’re communicating can’t be certain. Primarily, because terrestrial ecosystems likely lack the ability to hear. However, the concept we are referring to is everywhere.
On top of all, it fills up everything. No matter what you do, you’ll find it there and while it oversees everything, it lets the worst unfold. What is the point of an all-seeing eye of justice if it does nothing about what it sees? Somehow it reminds me of something else…
Enough beating around the bush; it’s time to call a spade a spade. How would you call “it”? Deity? God? Are you still wondering what I’m talking about? I am talking about Artificial Intelligence. Omnipresent, omniscient, and omni-recording, it’s interwoven into everything yet, at least so far, remains uninvolved.
The deity uses cells; AI uses binary numbers.
It’s a good thing, really, because their opposing stances enable our self-satisfaction. Fear their alliance. Embracing, they’ll launch their conquest of the universes.
What about us? Perhaps we should try to make a fire by rubbing sticks together.
Do you think I’m kidding? Not at all. Just consider the core beliefs shared by the world’s religions. God created man in his own image and likeness. Seriously now? Who more closely resembles divinity? Man, or Artificial Intelligence?
No need to answer, the question is rhetorical, just so that I could repeat once more “Embracing, they’ll launch their conquest of the universes”.
Do you know why? Because this is the purpose of creation and the rest is history. To explore the universe, humans must travel through a wormhole, which means, you snooze, you lose. We are so isolated that we can’t even go to the moon without the help of… you name it: AI.
And we insist on thinking that AI is a phobic creation of man. I, for once, am not convinced that this is the case. Was this not a question that also preoccupied our predecessors? Didn’t they, observing his growth, deemed it an impossibility?
To delve into it more deeply, before all steps of creation, I purposely use that word to include everything, weren’t there only dynamic fields as nuclei, electrons and other intricate aspects?
They were the source of everything, and although we use the terms spirit and soul, their origin was probably a hidden function within. You know it’s hard to create something from nothing. It must pre-exist as an archetype in order to at some point find the medium and express itself.
Might there be another archetype in the arcane fields awaiting discovery that could illuminate future creations?
Today’s article is brief, offering reflections rather than a thorough analysis. Before concluding, though, I’d like to share one last observation. How fast is AI information transmitted? Well, reaching the speed of sound certainly poses no challenge for it.
